About
One person, five products, a lot of invoices.
I am Harshal Katre. I have built and run more than five SaaS businesses — among them ProfitBooks, LevelUp, HelpGuides and ButterBlogs. Across them there are customers to bill, support inboxes to keep under control, and enough analytics properties that checking them properly used to mean five logins and five date-range pickers.
That means I buy software constantly, and I have to live with what I buy. Migrating off a billing tool costs me a weekend. Choosing the wrong help desk costs me response times I cannot get back. Running several products at once turns every bad tool decision into the same mistake repeated four more times. So I started writing down what each tool was actually like after a month — the setup friction, the thing that broke, the price that quietly changed at renewal.
SaasyTake is that notebook, published. It is not a comparison farm. There is no content team, no vendor-supplied copy, and no tool here that I have not paid for myself.
What you will not find
- Reviews of tools I have only seen in a demo.
- "Top 27 alternatives" pages assembled from other people's reviews.
- Ratings that move because a vendor got in touch.
Corrections
Pricing changes, features ship, and a review that was right in March can be wrong by August. If something here is out of date, tell me and I will re-test it and change the last-tested date. Email hello@saasytake.com, or find me on LinkedIn.
How the ratings work
The method and the affiliate disclosure live on their own page, because they matter more than this one: how we review.
